France is one of the most popular study destinations in the world. Over 400,000 international students travel France every year for work and studies. ·       Create account on pastudies.fr / nepal.campusfrance.org

·       Choose programs (up to 20 applications possible)

·       Pay Campus France fee (≈ NPR 18,000) and attend mandatory interview in Kathmandu

·       Receive acceptance letter from university

·       Apply for long-stay student visa (VLS-TS) at VFS Global Kathmandu

·       Pay visa fee (€99) + attend appointment

Required documents:

·       Passport (valid  upto 18 months)

·       Campus France confirmation (NOC)

·       University acceptance letter

·       Proof of funds (€615/month or scholarship proof)

·       Accommodation proof (or attestation)

Average monthly budget (2025):

Rent (CROUS residence or private): €250–€800

Food (supermarket and student cafeteria): €200–€350

Transport (monthly pass): €30–€80

Miscellaneous: €100

Living cost in Paris is around €1,000–€1,500/month whereas outside Paris €700–€1,000/month can be estimated. Due to student discounts they can sustain easily without any pressure in France.

Part-Time Work & Career Opportunities

·       Allowed to work  upto 964 hours/year (≈20 hours/week)

·       Minimum wage ≈ €11.65 gross/hour (2025) which makes  €800–€1,000 net/month possible

·       Top sectors for Nepali graduates are IT, engineering, finance, hospitality, luxury and research
