• Citizenship: Must be a citizen of an eligible country (Nepal included).
• Residency: Must have lived in the home country for the last two years.
• Age: Must be 18 years or older at the start of the scholarship. Applicants under 40 are preferred.
• Work Experience: Relevant work experience may be required for postgraduate courses.
• Academic & English Proficiency: Must meet university entry requirements and English language standards (e.g., IELTS-6.5).
• Contribution to Home Country: Scholars must commit to using their skills to contribute to their country’s development.
• Scholarship History: Applicants must not have received a Manaaki scholarship previously in the last five years.
• Military Service: Current military personnel are not eligible.
