Kathmandu, December 8, 2025 — The 16th ECAN
Multi-Destination Education Fair 2025 concluded successfully at Everest Hotel,
attracting a large number of students seeking reliable guidance for abroad
studies. Organised by the Educational Consultancy Association of Nepal (ECAN),
the fair showcased stalls from numerous education consultancies, universities,
and international colleges, offering students direct interaction with official
representatives.
More than 500 students participated in the event,
exploring detailed information about study destinations, university/college
requirements, course options, tuition fees, scholarships, work-permit rules, visa
processes, required documents, and financial planning. Students also learned
about application timelines, intakes, and living expenses in various countries.
According to Deepak Raj Bhusal, General
Secretary of the ECAN Committee, ECAN has been continuously organising
such fairs and advocating with the government to strengthen education
counselling standards, protect students’ interests, and create a more
transparent abroad-study environment. He emphasised that students must receive
counselling only from ECAN members and consultancies, as they follow proper
guidelines, maintain ethical practices, and provide authentic information. Bhusal
added that ECAN regularly raises its voice on issues related to abroad-study
policies, supports counsellor training, and works to ensure safe and systematic
student mobility.
Students attending the fair said they were highly
satisfied with the event. Many shared that they were able to clear their
confusion regarding country selection and study pathways, helping them to
confidently choose the best consultancy for their abroad study application. The
event was viewed as a significant platform for students to gain trustworthy and
updated information about studying abroad, all in one place.
