Scholarships in China

China has become a top study destination for international students because of its fully funded scholarship options, modern universities, and strong academic programs in engineering, medicine, computer science, economics, and language studies. Most scholarships cover tuition, accommodation, a monthly stipend, and sometimes even medical insurance. Here are the major scholarship pathways:

1. Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC Scholarship)

  • Covers: Full tuition, on-campus dormitory, monthly stipend, medical insurance.
  • Levels: Bachelor, Master, PhD.
  • Available through: University application (Type B) or Embassy application (Type A).

5. Belt and Road Initiative Scholarships

  • Specifically for students from Belt and Road partner countries, including Nepal.
  • Covers tuition + monthly stipend.
  • Often has higher acceptance rates.

6. MOFCOM Scholarship (Master & PhD)

  • For professionals or government employees pursuing advanced studies.
  • Covers full tuition, living allowance, and round-trip airfare.
