The ICCR Scholarship Programme 2026–27, offered by the Indian
Council for Cultural Relations, provides international students an opportunity
to pursue undergraduate, postgraduate, PhD, and selected diploma or certificate
courses in India. Applications must be submitted online through the A2A Portal
between 27 February and 15 April 2026, after which universities review
applications and Indian Missions finalize selections. Applicants must meet age
limits, have a valid passport, and demonstrate English proficiency, including a
mandatory 500-word essay. Candidates can select up to five universities, but
admission does not guarantee a scholarship, as final selection is made by the
Indian Mission. The scholarship includes monthly stipends, house rent
allowance, and other academic support, though airfare is generally not covered.
Selected students must complete medical fitness requirements, obtain a student
visa, and join their course within the specified timeframe. Maintaining
academic performance and following rules is essential to continue receiving the
scholarship.
